My irman receiver (used with libirman 0.4.2 and lirc 0.8.1 and a hauppauge grey remote) gives me random spurious keypresses. They happen completely random, and it seems there are only a handful few keys it reports when it happens. Anyone else seen similar problems? Can it be infrared noise, or something related to serial port config, irq etc? -- Torgeir Veimo to...@po... |

In that case the commands are really sent from your remote. > Anyone else seen similar problems? Can it be infrared noise, or > something related to serial port config, irq etc? Bring the remote in another room, in a box or remove batteries, and wait if you still get random keypresses. If so, the problem is because of "noise", but I bet it's from your remote control. It seems fine in the day, it only happens in the evening, when the remote sensor also seems to react much slower. -- Torgeir Veimo to...@po... |

The irman is quite old, almost nine years, and it has been lying around unused for at least five. I assume some component inside must be broken, so it's prob time to replace it.. -- Torgeir Veimo to...@po... |
