I have been investigating the use of the USB-UIRT with Linux/LIRC, and
have found some posts both in this mailing list and it the message board
for USB-UIRT that somebody (or somebodies) have gotten the USB-UIRT to
work with LIRC simply by changing the baud rate in the UIRT2 files. It
this really all that needs to be done? Would I just change the "115200"
value in hw_uirt2.c and hw_uirt2_raw.c to "312500" (the baud rate for
the USB-UIRT, according to its creator/developer Jon Rhees)? I know
that, at least in the USB-UIRT forums, there is still a bit of confusion
as to what actually has to be done to get this to work. If you have
gotten the USB-UIRT to work with LIRC, please confirm my speculations,
or better yet please post a quick "This is what I did to get my USB-UIRT
working with LIRC" message so we can settle this once and for all!
Thanks in advance for your help...
