for the last few weeks i tried to get lirc running, so i'll finally try
i built the home-brew serial receiver, compiled lirc 0.6.3 just fine (w/
kernel 2.2.16). mode2 gives me loads of output which looks like described in the
docs. since i couldnt find any remote control i own on the lirc pages i
tried creating my own config-file... and i'm still trying...
when using lircd with the config-file from irrecord (created in raw mode) no
signals are recognized. i can raise tolerance manually but then the only one
button will be printed (using irw) no matter which one i press.
i tried recording the codes quite often, in total darkness, at full moon,
nothing helps. problems quite different with one of the remote controls where
irrecord wants to check the toggle bit and asks me to press one button as fast
as i could. but then only 0's are printed, no matter how fast i am
i'm totally stuck, any hints? can i be sure that the receiver's working only
because it's getting something?
thanx for any answers, nils
