Hi all, I have seen UIR first time when browsing the LIRC site. I like to build it. but I have some confusion regarding the S/W. LIRC suggests using libirman library for UIR. but libirman README file says that it has its own testing, configuration etc. files. again LIRC also has its own files for the same purpose as libirman. so should I use both libirman & LIRC packages ? again during the LIRC configuration you can see (after starting setup.sh) Driver Configuration--> Other serial Port Devices--> Irman/UIR ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ so I am really cofused. PLEASE explain a little bit. thanks in advanced best regards. |

You need libirman to run it with LIRC, as that is how the LIRC driver is written(to use it). There is a readme.lirc file included in the libirma= n.
