So I have a Entone 400 set top box from my cable provider. I'm trying to change the channels of said device using an irblaster via lirc. All my attempts have failed. The entone box has never responded to any of the codes sent. I know my blaster is working as I used irrecord to record the tv remote and then blast out commands to the TV successfully. I've used irrecord with no success with the entone remote - not using raw mode it fails with a "No toggle bit mask found. But I know for sure that RC6 has a toggle bit!" Using raw mode it appears to create a lircd.conf file, but the cable box never responds to any of the commands. I've even tried using the output of mode2 to create a raw lirc file.... no luck. Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated! -- View this message in context: http://lirc.10951.n7.nabble.com/Entone-400-remote-woes-tp9888.html Sent from the LIRC mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

Yes! Can you provide the other keys? All I need is the numbers (0 - 9) and the 'enter' key so I can change channels on the box remotely. How did you get the file? I've been pulling my hair out trying to get this to work. -- View this message in context: http://lirc.10951.n7.nabble.com/Entone-400-remote-woes-tp9888p9890.html Sent from the LIRC mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

Try the enclosed file. For the rest of you: (S)he wrote me a mail, pointing to the file http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=8969 This is an RMDU file. Some RMDU files essentially contain information on protocol name, and a number of protocol parameters, so it is comparatively easy to reproduce, given approprate tools, like IrMaster (http://www.harctoolbox.org/IrMaster.html ) However, the that one is trickier, since it does not contain a well-known protocol, but rather an "executor" for a certain microprocessor (S3C80 by Samsung to be exact). Lacking the hardware or simply not wanting to generate signals and capture them again, you are out of luck :-\ (see http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=14791 ). So I took the timing data of the forth post of http://wwvv.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12561 and converted it, that was my first file. For all signals; I was able to construct a IRP form protocol form the said thread, and, informally speaking, putting it into the new tool I am developing, the second file was generated. That tool, probably called IrScrutinzer, will be released later this year. You can put your hair in again :-). Greetz, Bengt |

Last night before getting this post, I was able to use the translate feature of irrecord to convert the first file you sent me into a non raw format. >From there I was able to just brute-force my way into finding the keys I needed. I'll use this new file to fill in all the rest. My MythTV box is now happily recording away!
