xine and lirc

Hi everybody,
I have not problems to use lirc with mplayer but
I can't use lirc with xine.

Before using mplayer, it has been compiled with --enable-lirc flag.

Is this feature default for XINE?
This program requires a similar option enabled to run correctly with
lirc support?
