Hi.

My setup:

LINUX:
IR dongle for transmitting and receiving ir signals controlled with lirc
IRW running with Netpipes to pipe the received IR signals to the network.

Windows machine running girder that connects to the netpiped port and recieves the ir signals and acts them out.

Is it possable to 'send' a fake/simulated ir signal to lircd from either bash/perl/php scripts ?

The result must be that if an event happens on my linux box (lets say incomming call on isdn line), my scripts must trigger an ir event with lirc and in effect that signal will then be sent to irw, and via netpipes to my windows machine.

I have used perl to communicate via the unix socket, and I get a SUCCESS, but no IR signal appears in irw. I take it this is actually sending the signal to my dongle to be transmitted ?

Regards
Lucas
