Hello LIRC users J

I am currently trying to see if it’s actually possible to achieve my goal, let me explain

I want to be able to turn on a Mitsubishi A/C remotely, using LIRC and an infrared emitter

I’ve got a Microsoft / Philips eHome Infrared Receiver-emitter that is working fine with its remote using driver lirc_mceusb2

However, when I run irrecord with the Mitsubishi remote, this is what I get: (irrecord works fine with the MCE remote)

Press RETURN now to start recording.

................................................................................

Found gap: 100000

Please keep on pressing buttons like described above.

Creating config file in raw mode.

Now enter the names for the buttons.

Please enter the name for the next button (press <ENTER> to finish recording)

mode

Now hold down button "mode".

Signal is too long.

Please enter the name for the next button (press <ENTER> to finish recording)

power

Now hold down button "power".

Signal is too long.

I guess the Mitsubishi uses a different frequency?

Is it actually possible getting that setup functional?

Thanks for your help,

Phil
