-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I've got the driver I'm writing to the point where it's very functional, but there's a bug in it that folks at the gimp-irc are telling me is quite like the one experienced by you Wacom folks, described at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/intrepid/+source/linux/+bug/260675 I'll try to describe it here anyhow ... My driver, uclogic_drv.so, is an Xorg Xinput driver, written to run in FreeBSD, using only USB-HID (no serial protocol, I couldn't find any). It's all dealing with working with Gimp. When you configure it on Gimp, you can set it to one of 3 options, Window, Screen, or Disabled. If I set it to disabled, then the X and Y axes seem to work fine, but TipPressure is ignored. The Device dock only lists "Core Pointer". Alternatively, if I configure the driver to either Window or Screen, then the X and Y indicators in the ruler spaces stop moving, the UCLogic shows up in the Devices dock, and *IF* I set the 3rd valuator (my tip pressure) to the X axis, *then* the X indicator in the ruler spaces jumps around in sync with the tip pressure, telling me that the tip pressure is definitely getting into gimp. The regu;lar operation of the 3rd axis (for TipPressure) never works for me. I can't tell if TipPressure works OK then because when Window or Screen is selected, remember, the X and Y ruler cursors stop moving. I was told, this sounded really like a problem already experienced by you Wacom folks. I'm not doing this on Linux, it runs instead on FreeBSD, so the fix in the URl won't work for me, I need to get a bit more basic. I'd sure appreciate any ideas you might have.
