Hi. I`m new here on SourceForge.net
I am a WACOM Intuos and Ubuntu user and since a couple of days there is a little problem with my tablet.
Under Ubuntu 7.10 my Intuos tablet worked great. Since upgrade to Hardy Heron using it is a pain. At first all the tablet`s express keys didn`t work. Thanks to this tip: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=4784464&postcount=2 express keys do work, but only until I use a touchstrip. Then the expresskeys deamon is killed. If running in terminal, it gives: "Segmentation fault". I`ve upgraded to latest linux wacom driver (0.8.0-3) following this tutorial: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=765915&highlight=wacom+hardy , but it still doesn`t work.
Please help. I really need my tablet working right. I don`t want to downgrade to Gutsy Gibbon or even worse - install Windows :(
Maybe it`s just some libs missing in Hardy Heron or wrong version of one, but I`m really clueless.

Does wacomcpl work for you? If it does, you could reassign keystrokes for your ExpressKeys from wacomcpl.

    Hi, thanks for your answer.
At first it didn`t work. But I`ve done few things and now it does. Probably it started working after installing tcl-dev and tk-dev and doing again all the steps from this HOWTO: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=765915
Wacompl works fine now and I can reassign my express keys, but I still miss one feature that expresskeys application has. It can use different sets of keys for specific applications. I use for example different shortcuts in GIMP and in Blender. Is it possible with wacompl? Or, if not, how could I assign shortcuts using keycodes (I want for example -NUMPAD, not -, under TouchStrip Down)?
    Thanks in advance.

What is NUMPAD? Do you mean the NumLock key (sorry for my ignorance)? If what I guessed was right, use the following:
xsetwacom set pad striplup "key core numlock" (for left menu strip) or
xsetwacom set pad striprup "key core numlock" (for right menu strip)

    Refer to http://linuxwacom.sourceforge.net/index.php/howto/xsetwacom for details.

No, I mean "- on the numeric keyboard". When you run xev, - has a keycode:20 and NUMPAD- has a keycode:82
It`s important because in Blender, for example, normal - does something else then - on the numeric keyboard.
I`ve tried few possibilities, like: xsetwacom set pad StripRDn "CODE 82"
    but it doesn`t work

Those keycodes were translated in xsetwacom and wacom_drv. You need to modify xsetwacom yourself so it can read keycode directly. We don't support explicit keycode option in xsetwacom.
