There are several features that could be implemented to
have a full quota system.

The first one would be to have quotas also based on
directories and not mount points

In warnquota the filesystem name could be replaced by
its mount point to give users an idea where is the
problem.

The warnquota message should be able to be taylored

Quotas should be updated live when a user
increase/decrease a file and not when quotacheck is run

    To the first feature: it is problem to implement such a
    feature effectively (consider various links, multiple mounts
    etc)...

    Ad 2: I'll do it.
    Ad 3: It is possible via /etc/warnquota.conf
    Ad 4: You probably don't have quotas turned on by
    quotaon(8). This feature definitely works.
