I'm trying to use linkchecker to produce a sitemap graph that just shows
pages (no images, css, js, etc).
But when I use something like this...
linkchecker --complete --ignore-url=.*\.css --ignore-url=.*\.js
--ignore-url=.*\.png -odot http://example.com > example.dot
I still see all of the asset files displayed in the output. I must be
doing something wrong with the regex? Or I just don't understand the
purpose of the ignore-url option?

--ignore-url forces that URL syntax is checked. It does not prevent the output
of the matching URLs.
LinkChecker has no advanced output filtering besides the existing options (see
section "Output options" in the linkchecker(1) man page).
