Hi all, I have been using Limesurvey 1.92x for a while, and I have found is a tremendous tool. I used it to design a few surveys and also for an online election, and it worked fantastic. However, there are a few things I was not able to do. I'm still not sure if because my lack of knowledge of the program or simply due to the limitations of Limesurvey. 1. LimeSurvey isn't fully compatible with small devices, like tablets or smartphones. As far as I understand, this can be solved simply creating a template specifically designed to fit the small devices. 2. LimeSurvey is not designed to show statistics. Let me explain this with an example. When I was running the online election , I wanted to grant access to the results only to certain people, so I create the accounts, and then taught them how to select the statistics. For me, the ideal scenario is the one where you decide what statistics people will see when they login, then, they don't have to learn how to obtain the statistics. As I'm still not using LS 2.x, I'm not sure if you include this in the last version. If not, I want to propose both topics as a future development aim. I'll be very happy working on this, but I will have to start from zero, because I have no idea about programming for LS. But there is time. Hope to hear your opinions about this, tell me if you don't understand what I mean, specially in topic 2. Best, Victor -- *Victor A. Hello, For point 1, did you try with citronade ? Some question aren't good (array text for example, and ranking) but a lot of question can be made on little screen (240px), tested with Opera Mobile. And Tony add some js for touch screen (multi numeric slider). For statistics: > > * An enhanced reporting system allowing the creation of specific > reports (formerly statistics) using templates for each survey and > assign them to a specific audience (Public, user, user group). > Source : http://www.limesurvey.org/component/nbill/?action=orders&task=order&cid=1 :) Denis Le 02/07/2012 21:44, Victor Pinto a écrit : > Hi all, > > I have been using Limesurvey 1.92x for a while, and I have found > is a tremendous tool. Hi Victor, thanks for your valuable feedback. You can find my comments below... There are two ways to achieve this, either by creating a template that looks nice on the common monitor and a smaller device or by creating a copy of the survey and assign the copy a special smartphone optimized template like these: http://www.limesurvey-templates.com/smarthphone-tablet-optimized-c-28.html?osCsid=8vifcabfcbo93but6ig23sifl0 I prefer the last approach because you can then run the smartphone optimized survey in question by question mode which looks better on smaller devices and users need to scroll less. > > 2. This is a feature that seems to be on the wish list of several users. It seems that at Limesurvey 2 you can assign a survey based "view statistics" right to a Limesurvey admin user: Such a user can then only see the surveys of which he/she is allowed to view statistics and all other icons besides the "browse response" -> "statistics" one should be hidden. You can then simply provide a direct link to the statistics of a certain survey and the user just needs to log in and is then redirected automatically. > > As I'm still not using LS 2.x, I'm not sure if you include this in > the last version. A feature that I - and many other users - would like to see is to switch to a certain template depending on the browser version a user is running. This way you can use one of the shipped AND a smartphone/tablet optimized template for the same survey. What do you think about such a feature?
