I tried to convince all parties to stay in the range of LS (regarding
updates etc). But as it concerns employers vs employees it's also a
great deal of politics
First people get some pages with general questions. That ain't no rocket
science. The main question however is LS 18RC2's multi flexible array
(numbers). For each hour the visitor (employee) has to fill out wheter
that hour is: 1.first choice, 2. second choice, 3. only if... 4.no!
Customer insist on a 4-week-option (pfff).
So far so good. We even might go live with this version shortly. The
customer's customer (Holland Casino) indicated that they consider to
continue this survey in the future if we can (in a realistic period or
step by step) handle their 'wishlist' concerning the multiflex aray:
1. The numbers should become tekst in time (one letter) --> their
planning software works with colours instead of figures so 4 should
become 'R' from 'RED'
2. If 'R' (option 4) is chosen, the rolldown field should become red
3. Default value should be '1/first choice/white'.
4. Request for a realtime counter like 'so far you've chosen xx hours as
first choice/white, xx hours as second choice/green et cetera.
5. Limotation/controling the contract hours: in an earlier question
people are asked how many contract hours they have. If they fill out
i.e. 38 hours, theu should fill out at least 38 hours as option 1/white.
6. Watching over my shoulder regarding backup et cetera
I all ready explained the customer that these features are not possible
in a short term (actually not at all) but that I'll have a look at it.
On the other hand it's a great opportunity.
Is it possible for you to consider, point by point
a. if it is technicly possible
b. in what term it might be possible (also regarding new updates as LS 2.0)
c. what price is concerned.
I expect that if we can offer these 'modules' we have a longterm job
because the intension is to use is continiously throuout the year and
over the locations(e.g. Nijmegen in february / 200
My first customer is considering to 'profile' with this tool (cant
really explain in english) --> if the customer is satified, they might
offer it to all customers. (they represent firms > 100 employee's. By
law these firms are obligated to have a employers representation. I know
thats also in Germany but dont know the name.
Anyway a great poortunity i think. Both parties will not choose the
cheapest solution, but it should be (1) stable, and (2)quality /
What I think about is to offer/sell in features:
F1 in february for € xxx,-
F2 in april for € xxx,-
That way we cab release some pressure and spread the job. But if you
prefer to do it all at once it's fine with me."
