Mazi,

We probably should do as you suggest for the Roadmap. The wiki should have major dates and links to the detailed Roadmap in Mantis, sorry for the confusion.

I agree the questions you post in the forum would benefit others but I guess all I was saying is we do really have time to monitor the forums. Would it be possible for you to alert us when you post question? Or post them here as well and indicate the response should be put in the forum? I don’t know what the best approach is.

Dear Michael,

it’s really strange to monitor all the LS2.0 progress in the wiki so everyone can follow the progress but then say “everything is done in mantis”. It would be great to find a way to harmonize this. Maybe we can put the release dates into the wiki and put the to do list into mantis if you prefer monitoring the progress there?! Just a suggestion which can be discussed at the dev meeting.

Regarding the LS2 forum: I asked these questions in the forum because they probably are meaningful for other users, too. As the leader of forum support I’m of the opinion that this kind of information should be kept in the forum so that everyone else can benefit from the answers.
I totally understand that the dev team can’t keep an eye on the forum all the time and I only putted a hint into the mailing list because several questions had piled up meanwhile. Thanks for answering them!

Thankfully Juhan offered to take a look at the LS2 forum from time to time.

Mazi

The real roadmap is in Mantis http://bugs.limesurvey.org/roadmap_page.php

If you are asking questions ( http://www.limesurvey.org/component/option,com_fireboard/Itemid,105/func,view/id,14463/catid,11/lang,de/) do so here. Most of us do not have the time to monitor the forums.

Just a short question: Is „Alpha 3“ = „Beta 1“? According to the roadmap (http://docs.limesurvey.org/tiki-index.php?page=LimeSurvey+2.0+Roadmap) there should be a first beta available on Wednesday?!

Another request: Can some MITRE guy check the LS2 sub forum once a week? There are some unanswered questions, especially

Betreff: [limesurvey-developers] Next 2.0 Alpha release

All,

At this time most of the UI components and functionality for the Alpha 3 release are done. We now need some heavy testing of the functionality including cross-browser testing. My thought is we try to verify everything on FF3 and IE7 for Wednesday’s release. I realize the we will likely need to verify more browsers but that should be a sufficient minimum for the Alpha.

It looks like we should be all set for a Alpha 3 code drop on Wednesday.

As for are outstanding tickets, there appear to only be 2, both of which are for the installer. Is it possible to get them done by Wednesday? Also Carsten, did you get a chance to setup oscon.limesurvey.org? Once the alpha 3 is said to be done on Wednesday we should be ready to put it up right away.

Thanks,

Michael
