| Coming back on topic: what about the abandoned / inactive icon for
| feeds? Is going to be implemented? If yes, which icon do you suggest?
| And after how much time should it be used?
My question about the whole 'abandoned feed' feature is what the goal
of the feature is. I see two potential ones:
- attracting attention to potentially broken feeds so that people can
check and fix them.
To me, a better approach to this might be a special virtual folder
that shows you all such abandoned feeds in one place, so that you can
easily scan them. And if you don't care about such feeds you can
ignore the virtual folder (or remove it from the interface).
- making such feeds draw less attention and be less prominent since
If this is the goal, fading the feed's title (and favicon) out seems
like a good implementation. I don't think they should be fully greyed
out (that's too strong a marker; people have been conditioned to see
that as 'disabled entirely'), but there's lots of room short of that.
