ttrss allows to organise feeds in categories. Liferea ignores them and shows all feeds directly under "Tiny Tiny RSS".
The expected behaviour would be, that liferea shows the categories as folders (as it is done with the google reader source).

liferea: git commit e4020f4fd2371cb7a29a1a6dec1323e9d08e1b47
ttrss: git commit 496195db4e59e1a2a59ca190450a3b140e44f4a7

This is a known limitation of the current implementation.

But I agree it would be worth extending it.

  • Lars I would like to have this as well but I thought of a solution...Liferea doesn't display the categories but it does organize the feeds in the correct order when it is TT-RSS.

So if the categories could just show the cat as a label rather than working as a folder. The label would provide a UI separation to make it easier to tell how the feeds are laid out.

Without the separation it creates feed confusion...where as a simple label would solve than and since the UI is so freaking fast the collapsing of the categories wouldn't be necessary at least not up front.
