In other news, Licq 2 is still currently under development. Keep your eyes out for when this new release will be coming out. We are trying our best to make Licq 2 be a new multiple protocol instant messenger, with complete support for all the parts of each protocol and new unique features.

Friday. From now on, all new mail should be sent to the LIST <AT>
googlegroups.com address (where LIST is e.g. licq-dev).

Your subscription(s) will be transfered to the new list(s), and when the move
is completed, you'll receive an email from Google.

If you do filtering, please update your filters. The List-Id header will be
<LIST.googlegroups.com> and this is probably the best way to filter.... read more

A new version of Licq has been released which adds many new features and many bug fixes! The latest feature is a php web script using AJAX/XMLRPC to provide a web interface for Licq. Take a look at our screenshots to see it in action. Finaly a solution to using your Licq when you aren't at home!

Some people thought Licq was dead, but a lot of work was being done. So much, that it took a year to get this release out. Now protocol plugins are supported! There are so many new features and bug fixes, take a look at the website (http://www.licq.org) to see for yourself. Enjoy!

Licq is an ICQ clone written fully in C++. It uses an extensive plugin system to manage many different functions. The main GUI is written using the Qt widget set.

Licq 1.2.3 has just been released. This version has better support for the ICQ protocol and is more stable than Licq 1.2.0a. All users are urged to upgrade to enjoy the improved stability and new features. Licq is an ICQ clone written fully in C++. It uses an extensive plugin system to manage many different functions. After a break in development, Licq is back. Licq 1.2 supports the new ICQ server protocol (OSCAR) and has MANY bug fixes and new features. Tarballs and RPMs are available for download.
