I've certainly had success tracing USB packets to/from libusb-win32 using SnoopyPro.
Nothing special needed, just hook it in like any other driver. SnoopyPro
is a little temperamental at times, but can usually be got going.
[I did recently discover that snoopypro has a bug which causes it to stop
  tracing if the packets get too big, but that was fixable simply by
  increasing a buffer size.]
