In the interests of having one place to find the latest libusb devel tree,
I'm starting a libusb-cdf patchset with the hopes of keeping track of
all worthy patches seen on the list, until Johannes gets back and can
apply them to the official repository if he so chooses.
The patches I'll be working with will apply against revision 640 of the
devel branch of the SVN tree. To get it, do:
svn co https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/libusb/branches/devel/libusb libusb
My patch set is just a bunch of emails in mbox format and diff patches.
You can create new patches with the diff command, or with the svn diff
command. As long as they apply cleanly to the root of the libusb source
tree after applying the latest mbox, I can add it to the patchset.
You can find the patchset at my (currently crufty) website:
To apply to your SVN tree, use:
svn co.... (as above)
patch -p0 < /path/to/libusb-patches.txt
Finally, let me state that I am in no way a USB expert, nor am I an expert
on libusb or libusb internals. I am a C/C++ programmer by profession,
and use libusb for one of the projects I'm involved in, and I'd really
like to use the latest API and have it stablize. To that end, I'm
trying to help out a bit.
Currently there are only my own patches in the above set, but there is
lots of room for Del's proposed patches as well.
