LSI SMI-S Provider Setup

There is NO WARRANTY for these steps.
Only tested on:
    * RHEL 6.4 x86_64
    * lsi_mr_hhr-00.38.0003-rhel6.x86_64
    * Lib_Utils-1.00-09.noarch

LSI SMI-S provider requires SELinux in disable or permissive mode,
please make sure you fully understand that risk.

Please contact LSI support for production environment.

  1. Download SMI-S provider from LSI website.
  2. Execute these commands to install required rpms:

    yum install tog-pegasus
  3. Disable SELinux if enabled(Follow Red Hat document if you want
    to disable SELinux permanently):

    setenforce 0
    # For security concern of disabling SELinux,
    # please contact Red Hat support or LSI support.
  4. Install SMI-S provider (Follow LSI documents if found):

    yum install Lib_Utils-1.00-09.noarch.rpm 
    yum install lsi_mr_hhr-00.38.0003-rhel6.x86_64.rpm
  5. Recompile MOF files:

  6. Restart tog-pegasus:

    service tog-pegasus restart
    # Daemon tog-pegasus is providing http/https
    # access of LSI SMI-S provider.
  7. If you want LSI SMI-S provider CIM service to start on boot.
    Make sure you change SELinux to permissive or disable mode.
    Daemon 'tog-pegasus' needs to be configured to start on boot too.

Support Status

  • Support RAID cards:
    • LSI MegaRAID # please check with LSI for detail.
  • Listing System/Pool/Disk/Tier.
  • Delete Pool.
  • Delete Volume.
