Roy and John, Thanks for the reply. I am currently using say VTKIO.write_equation_systems() call to output my data. I can also use alternately GMVIO and such but I've never tried using the XDR format before. Are there viewers (Visit, Paraview) that can understand this format ? Also, I do have non lagrangian elements with DG in my computation. Does XDR class handle this ? I will modify my output code to use the equation_systems.write() call so that I produce XDR files. I will let you know later how this works out. ~vijay > -----Original Message----- > From: Roy Stogner [mailto:roy...@ic...] > Sent: Monday, December 01, 2008 4:47 PM > To: Vijay M > Cc: lib...@li... > Subject: Re: [Libmesh-users] (Mesh)IO.read_equation_systems ? > > > On Mon, 1 Dec 2008, Vijay M wrote: > > > I'm looking for a way to read in a solution file that was dumped in > earlier > > in a different simulation using (Mesh)IO.write_equation_systems.
