Send it to Bill et al via consulting on the TACC portal.  Which level of
optimization is the Intel compiler using?  In the past when it has taken
long on a single file Intel has found bugs in their compiler optimization
strategies, maybe this is an example of that...

Let me know what kind of performance you see on ranger when you get
everything shaken out...
