    I resolved this issue by update automake to 1.14

    I got the latest libjpeg-turbo code from svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/libjpeg-turbo/code/branches/1.4.x 
    I build autoconf (2.69), automake (1.96) and libtool (2.4.4) from source and download gas-preprocessor.pl from libjpeg-turbo subversion repository. Then I execute autoreconf -fiv, and set variable as described in BUILDING.txt and configure as follows:


    ./configure --host aarch64-apple-darwin CC="$IOS_GCC" LD="$IOS_GCC"     CFLAGS="-isysroot $IOS_SYSROOT -O3 $IOS_CFLAGS"     LDFLAGS="-isysroot $IOS_SYSROOT $IOS_CFLAGS"
    configuration failed with the message mentioned above, it seems that config.sub didn't recognize machine 'aarch64-apple', is my autoconf wrong? I have autoconf 2.69
