Side-by-side calendars

How would you like an output option like so:

     March 2013 Nisan 5773
Su Mo Tu We Th Fr Sa S M T W T F S
                1 2 1 2 3 4 5
 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 6 7 8 9 10 11 12
10 11 12 13 14 15 16 13 14 15 16 17 18 19
17 18 19 20 21 22 23 20 21 22 23 24 25 26
24 25 26 27 28 29 30 27 28 29 30
31

Well, I am considering it ...
However, it really is simple to get using the
'paste' command, a standard command-line tool.

$ paste <(cal) <(hcal)

An additional standard linux command can be used
to nicely display two hcal calendars side-by-side,
with footnotes for each, also side-by-side, like
so:

$ paste -d^ <(hcal -f 9) <(hcal -f 10) | column -s^ -t

      Sivan 5773 Tammuz 5773
 S M T W T F S S M T W T F S
                1 2 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 8 9 10 11 12 13 14
10 11 12 13 14 15 16 15 16 17 18 19 20 21
17 18 19 20 21 22 23 22 23 24 25 26 27 28
24 25 26 27 28 29 30 29

 5 Erev_Shavuot 17 Tzom_Tammuz
 6 Shavuot
 7 Shavuot_(second_day)
29 Zeev Zhabotinsky day

NOTES:

These examples were produced using version 1.8 of hcal,
which is in its pre-release bug-testing phase as of this
writing. Usage for version 1.6 differs in that version
1.6 has no option for a Hebrew-only calendar (the default
option in v1.8) and that version 1.6 has no flexibility
in specifying dates, while in the above example, hcal
interpreted 9 and 10 as Hebrew month numbers of the current
Hebrew year. See section "ACCEPTABLE DATE FORMATS" of the
hcal man page (v1.8). If you would like an advance copy of
version 1.8's "most recent, bleeding-edge, development
build", follow the instructions here, but do remember
that it's still undergoing testing.
