I stay involved more so out of sense of duty and to be able to toy with my vloopback provider ;-) I just want to give fair warning, however, that the Linux1394 team wants to kill video1394 later this year due to maintenance overhead and some undesirable interaction with ohci1394. You probably will not see the impact of this for almost a year perhaps. The raw1394_iso_ api is quite capable with DMA/mmap support. However, it does need to be proven in this application area and enhanced to support fill times (at the start of the frame). Someday soon, I intend to make an example IIDC capture program using this api in order to prove its applicability and make note of required changes. FYI, it is callback-based API. +-DRD-+ |
