[libdc] Antwort: failed to initialize libdc1394

Hi,

as far as i know, the functions all have this name (with 1394) even on 
USB.

Are you sure, that the libdc was compiled correctly with USB option 
activated ? Did the configure script show "true" for USB at the end ?

I have a rather large program that incorporates many different camera 
drivers
into it.  It seems like as long as I include the libdc1394 library I will 
get
the message:
failed to initialize libdc1394
if I am not actually using a 1394 camera.

It is possible that it is purely my fault, but I really don't think I call 
ANY
libdc1394 functions when I am using a different camera, which is why it is 
such
a mystery that I am getting this message merely by having the library 
linked.

Is there a way to suppress this message in the instances I do not intend 
on
using a 1394 camera?
