This project started as a repository for information on Lexicon's Core-32 PCI-bus audio I/O adapter card and the companion LDI-10T / LDI-12T / PC-90 system components. The current focus is a combination of software and a custom hardware adapter to bridge the PCI bus to USB so the Core hardware will be able work with laptops and modern OS's.

This same software adapter could be used by any audio card that, like the Core, uses the DSP56301. Examples are the Event soundcards Mona, Darla, Gina, and Layla, the Kyma™, Digidesign PT-Project and PT-Mix, and M-Audio Lagoon.

  • Happy to help too. I have a Core 32 which currently resides in an old win98 PC. I can control this from Mac and use the Core 32 and reverb as an external FX send via the MIMO drivers. I can SMD solder.
  • I'd like to help if that's possible. I have a Core32 with PC90, LDI12 and LDI10... Also have a LX3 on sale for 15€ if someone is interested. One idea that came to my mind, and maybe it's silly is that maybe (only maybe) it's possible to crack the digital signal that goes to LDI10 to be converted in analog. I believe that it should be a AES or spdif type and probably relatively easy to "crack" and use the device as converter. It sounds very very good. sorry for the LOOOONG post :) Let me know if you need some help. regards
  • great..
