Hello, In linux I am still not able to listen any sound. Everything seems ok: I launch the timidity server as recommended ("timidity -iA ...", I check the open MIDI ports with "aplaymidi -l", then I check any timidity port with "aplaymidi -p cc:pp myfile.midi" and the midi file is played ok, but when configuring lenmus to use the same MIDI port and run "Test sound": no sound at all. I tried to debug, in order to get more info, but it is not easy to track the problem. Is there any way to get any information (a trace log or similar)? Karim, any progress on your side?? Could the problem be in the relation between Timidity and Portmidi? Note that Timidy can be launched in several ways: -iA Launch TiMidity++ as ALSA sequencer client. -iP PortMIDI synthesizer interface In the instructions, the option "-iA" is specified; is this correct?. I tried "-iP" but it is not available in my Timidity version. Hi Carlos, I've checked again this problem to try to find the cause. First thing a did was to comment out the 'patch'. And, surprise! the problem has gone!. After some investigation, I've found in Internet some comments that suggest the problem is caused by mixing up debug/release version object files at linking time. My original problem could have been caused by this because,as I said, I found that problem when I started this project (I didn't have experience with all this) and my comment in source code, taking about using wxMidi, suggest a problem derived from mixing files. I'm busy debugging next version, to be released in a few days. So I would stop working on this issue of setting the development environment in XP or other platforms, unless you have problems. But I understand that you built successfully in Linux and now you can start development on that platform. Is also your Vista environment operational? As soon as I release version 4.0 (12/Jan) I will start preparing things for your project. I expect to have everything ready so that you could start coding by 19/Jan.
