There are some fix_*.sql scripts to help upgrade the database. you would need to run each one starting from your database version (your lemonpos version). If you have 0.9.3 version ( start with fix_0.9.3.sql, then fix_0.9.3rc.sql, then fix_0.9.4rc8, then fix_0.9.5.0.sql ). *First, backup your current script before installing the new lemonpos (or it will be overwritten, then you will not know the script you used to install your previous/working lemonpos). The script location is bellow, in the next paragraphs.* *ALSO, backup your database. And/Or edit your lemon_mysql.sql file and replace the 'lemondb' string with other like 'lemon_newdb' before running the script, to allow install the new lemonpos without risk to lose your old/current database. If you do this, when running lemon/squeeze change the database name on the configuration.* You may want to compare your installed script (at * /usr/share/kde4/apps/lemon/lemon_mysql.sql* depending on your linux distribution, here is the ubuntu path.) and the current one (the one you are going to install). Doing this will help you know what has changed in the database since you installed lemonpos. And if you inspect the fix scripts said before, then you know if the fix is correct (makes sense the changes according to the diff with your installed db and the new one). To compare both scripts, place the backup script (the current) in a safe place to not overwrite it, then install the new lemonpos and compare it with your backup script. > To upgrade, do I simply delete the old version and install the new in its > place? > > Thanks for your help! > > > > ************************************************************************** > > Quoting Miguel Chavez Gamboa <mi...@le...>: > > On Wed, Apr 3, 2013 at 2:06 PM, <daw...@pa...> wrote: >> >> Hello All, >>> >>> >> Hi! >> >> >> >>> My tax rules have changed such that 12% tax is now to be shown on the >>> receipt as 5% for one level of government, 7% for the other.
