    I have the saving problem fixed and ready to commit but now having a user interface issue. Apparently also the default is overriding saved values from the user interface perspective.

    I have fixed this for 1.3. For 1.4, the code is different enough the same bug fix does not apply. Modifying bug and will leave it open.
