[Lcd4linux-devel] "Timer skipped" problem: is this a know issue?

I guess it is, saw some discussion about it some months ago.
With lcd4linux svn-1142 everything was well, but with the latest version 
svn-1191 I get lots of these errors:
Timer #0 skipped 1 interval(s) or 1000 ms.

Can anyone please tell me which version broke the timer handling? Anyone 
already working on a fix?
