The Lazarus team is glad to announce the release of:

Lazarus 0.9.30 released

The Lazarus team is glad to announce the 0.9.30 release. This release
is based on fpc 2.4.2.

This release is available for download at the SourceForge download page:

Windows: 98, 2k, Vista, 7, 32 or 64bit
FreeBSD/Linux: gtk 2.8 or qt4.5, 32 or 64bit

Lazarus 0.9.28.2 released

The Lazarus team is glad to announce the 0.9.28.2 release. This release
is based on fpc 2.2.4.

The Lazarus 0.9.28 release had two known issues. This release fixes:
* Compiling a test application without saving (missing project1.lrs)
* Lazarus directory set by deb package

Lazarus 0.9.28 released

The Lazarus team is glad to announce the 0.9.28 release. This release

*LCL now uses gtk2 as default widgetset on Linux and BSD

Lazarus 0.9.26.2 released

The Lazarus team is glad to announce the 0.9.26.2 release. This release
has been made from the Lazarus 0.9.26 fixes branch and is based on fpc
2.2.2.

Highlights / Major changes:
IDE:

* Application icon has been added to the Project Options.
* Environment, Editor and CodeTools options has been merged into one
dialog. A new api is introduced to add custom ide settings into ide
options dialog.
* Application icon, Version information and XP manifest are merged into
one .rc file which has the same name as project main file (.lpi)
* .lrs files can now be saved/auto created in the project output
directory (disable in Project / Project Options / Miscellaneous / save
.lrs file in the output directory). This way you no longer need to store
the .lrs files in the svn/cvs repository, if you build your application
with Lazarus or Lazbuild. They are still required if compile using
Makefile that calls fpc directly.... read more

Lazarus 0.9.26 released

The Lazarus team is glad to announce the 0.9.26 release. This release
is based on fpc 2.2.2.

Highlights / Major changes:
- The LCL now uses Unicode strings UTF-8 encoded on all platforms.
There are docs, tools and functions to help converting old code.
- The LCL internal graphic system was rewritten for more consistency,
more flexibility, better Delphi compatibility, icon support, native
image lists.
- Lazarus now runs native under Mac OS X using the 'carbon' widgetset.
- The IDE designer now allows to connect form components, like

Lazarus 0.9.24 released

The Lazarus team is glad to announce the 0.9.24 release. This release is based on fpc 2.2.0.

Highlights / Major changes:
- The win32 widgetset interface can be used
on win64 too and has been relabeled win32/win64
- First stable releases of the
Windows CE and i386-darwin (IntelMac) versions
- Huge improvements to QT, Carbon and Gtk2
widgetset interfaces
- Due to a name conflict under Linux with the tct package the link
'/usr/bin/lazarus' was renamed to '/usr/bin/lazarus-ide'. This means
the IDE can no longer be started by typing 'lazarus' in a terminal but
with 'startlazarus' or 'lazarus-ide'.... read more

Lazarus 0.9.22 released

Lazarus is an IDE and visual RAD tool for the FreePascal compiler, similar to Delphi, runs on Linux, MacOSX, FreeBSD and Windows and can create native applications for WinCE and Solaris too.
This release contains new features, fixes and improvements, such as components to write windows services and linux daemons, support of custom mouse cursors and easier creation of c bindings.

Lazarus is a RAD tool for the FreePascal compiler, similar to Delphi, and runs on Linux, MacOSX, FreeBSD and Windows.
New features: help system for LCL applications, online help for the IDE dialogs and FPC messages, codetools parameter hints, improved qt and wince interface and new components.

Lazarus 0.9.14 released

Lazarus 0.9.14 comes with better Delphi conversion tools, better translations, more controls in the wince and qt4 interface and hundreds of bug fixes and other changes.

0.9.12 is out

The new Lazarus 0.9.12 is out. The binaries include now 13 preinstalled packages for various databases, CGI applications, printing and adds more LCL controls.

New RPMs for Lazarus 0.9.2.3 and FPC 1.9.5

FPC - the FreePascal compiler is a free and Delphi compatible object pascal compiler running on more than 20 platforms.
Lazarus is a powerful IDE like Delphi, including a visual component library compatible to the VCL, but free, open source and running under Linux, BSD, MacOSX and Windows.
You can now define custom projects, units and resource types. Improved MySQL, CGI and fpunit packages.

The Lazarus Code and Component Repository is open!

The Lazarus Code and Component Repository (Lazarus-CCR) project has officially begun! The Lazarus IDE is a stable and feature rich graphical programming environment for the Object Pascal language. It currently runs on Linux, FreeBSD and Win32 and provides a tabbed source and visual form editor, a package manager, debugger and complete GUI integration with the FreePascal Compiler.

The primary purpose of the Lazarus-CCR project is to adapt the large amount of existing, freely available Object Pascal code for use with Lazarus and the FreePascal compiler.
