"Change Bind Interface" is a handy option, so I can specify say an openvpn network instead of the local lan (or vice versa).  It sort of falls down though.  The openvpn net shows up twice, with the same number.  Once with my ipv6 address and once with my ipv4 address.  Choosing that number gives me "error binding to local address".

If I go in to the properties of the tap adapter and uncheck "Internet Protocol Version 6", that adapter shows up only once and selecting its number works fine.

Would be nicer if that wasn't necessary.  Either separate numbers for the different protocols, or in the case when there is more than one protocol the app does a more limited version of Auto-Detect (option 0), limited to the various protocols bound to the number (ie interface) selected, until it finds one that works, instead of choking on the ip6 binding of the chosen interface.

workarounds: disable ipv6.  OR re-order the adapters in ncpa.cpl advanced, advanced settings so the desired interface is on top (the latter sort of defeats the purpose of being able to specify in Lan Messenger though)
