I'm a relatively new user of the lame encoder DLL. I'm presently using V3.92
I have an audio source that I want to encode that has two entirely separate
audio streams that appear on the LEFT and RIGHT channels. These audio
channels each have long periods of random length silence.
I'd like to take the two input streams (L+R) and have LAME produce an
compressed version with the same characteristic... entirely separate
L and R channels.
I've had exactly zero luck encoding this stream with lame_enc.dll -- When I
BE_MP3_MODE_STEREO I get wandering audio from L to R. BE_MP3_MODE_JSTEREO
seems to be better, but still doesn't always work. When I select
BE_MP3_MODE_DUALCHANNEL, I get what appears to be mono sound (L + R
mixed on both channels). And I notice that the DLL source has the
//warning: there is NO dual channel option working in Lame
I've checked the archives, and there seems to be some discussion about dual
channel versus dual stereo... I'm afraid I didn't understand the outcome.
Can somebody please offer some guidance?
