having used the templates a bit I had a couple of ideas about how they could be made more powerful. Not essential for anything - just ideas of what might be cool...
1. ability to set default values for boxes e.g. [[box=10|value="blah"]]
2. different types of boxes made other than text boxes e.g.
- [[box|type=date]] with some kind of validation or poopup calendar to fill it in
- [[box|type=choice|values="red,green,blue"]]
- [[box|type=checkbox]]
- [[box|type=number]] with validation set when people try to populate it

I've got a couple more high priority requests for this after working with the intern students:
    - [[box|type=hyperlink]] which would prompt the user to insert a link to a webpage which would work a bit like the tinymce "insert link" button when someone is filling it in (need at least hyperlink address and visible text)
    - [[box|type=bloglink]] which would prompt the user to insert a link to another labtrove blog page which would work a bit like the tinymce "insert link to blog post" button when someone is filling it in
    - [[box|type=uploadfile]] which would prompt the user to upload a file to the blog and insert a link to that file at this point in the template

These 3 and the "choice" box would be my highest priority requests for this new functionality - currently the only way to add hyperlinks and uploaded files to a post that you're making with a template is to make the new post with the template, save it and then edit it to add these features since the tinymce plugins are missing when you edit a new page with a template. This is very annoying!
