Here is a short explanation why:
From the very first day of public existence of the Kypeless project, that platforms were promised to be supported, the main reason for such statement being obvious - users. The vast amount of potential users whom we, of course, didn't want to lose. Don't get me wrong - we never did trust these platforms in security concerns, the initial idea was to establish secure communitation channels between peers running trusted platforms, and ability to establish unsecure connections with peers on any other platforms Kypeless would be ported to.
The 0.0-pa7-0 was released, and it was the time to start thinking about actual port to MS Windows. And to think it over in all details.
Well, in short - it didn't take long to understand that nobody needs such a thing for real. Windows users do not need kypeless and security (it is VERY unlikely that they will prefer unsecure kypeless to other cross-platform communication programs), and kypeless itself initially was thought and positioned as a secure communication program (when I was only planning to start coding it, mainly for my personal use by the way, it was the only concern), and only while approaching initial release I decided that "it would be nice if...". Now I can state clearly - it wouldn't.... read more
