kSOAP2 2.1.0 Released

KSOAP2 was officially release April 19th, 2006. I apologize in the delay for the news release. The Version has no significant changes from the successful beta cycle.

This release is the first step towards allowing the end user to more easily test the code without having to be connected to a live data source.

With the CVS problems of late, we have moved the code to the subversion system today. I hope this doesn't cause any of the supporters of this project any grief. I am hoping this will reduce the problems I have had recently trying to be responsive to patches and bug reports.... read more

kSOAP2 2.1.0 Beta Released

kSOAP is a lightweight SOAP library written in java and applicable for use in constrained devices. It produces bandwidth efficient SOAP messages and can run on MIDP devices as well as full J2SE devices.

After a short but intense alpha period, the library is ready for more widespread testing. Feedback suggests that this release is showing no new bugs compared to the 2.0.x codebase.

The goal of the 2.1.x release is have increased unit testing, use the latest kxml library, provide bug fixes, and add some abstractions that allow end-users to more easily add extensions or tests without having to modify the ksoap2 codebase.... read more

kSOAP2 2.1.0 Alpha Released For Testing

kSOAP is a lightweight SOAP library written in java and applicable for use in constrained devices. It produces bandwidth efficient SOAP messages and can run on MIDP devices as well as full J2SE devices. 

This is an alpha release of the codebase with some increased unit testing, a new xml library, bug fixes, and some abstractions that allow end-users to more easily add extensions or tests without having to modify the ksoap2 libraires.... read more

kSOAP2 2.0.2 Released

kSOAP is a lightweight SOAP library written in java and applicable for use in constrained devices. It produces bandwidth efficient SOAP messages and can run on MIDP devices as well as full J2SE devices.

This release is the first full release since moving the kSOAP2 code over to its own project from kObjects (http://sf.net/projects/kobjects). In an effort to get the kSOAP2 project space moving forward we are getting the forums and mailing lists set up as well as creating some content for the project home page. ... read more
