Hi,,

just tried ipodslave and was somehow disappointed for
first view. I'm running it on gentoo, which uses devfs
as default and ipod was mounted as
/dev/discs/disc1/part2 which is a link to
/dev/scsi/host0/bus0/...
mounting with /dev/scsi/ works, but /dev/discs doesn't.

Could you introduce a check for symbolic links?

    Hey I just filed a Gentoo ebuild that takes care of the
    problem by patching it such that devices are not filtered by
    "sd?" or "scsi". Works with udev here, linking my iPod as
    /dev/ipod. Checkout the bug report:
