Hi!
It would be nice, if I could suspend kphone to the
systemtray only, without appearing in the taskbar.

Another thing is the possibility, to allow dialing
from other programs. For example calling from KDE's
kontact. Maybe a call-option in kphone's commandline,
or dcop. If I click something like "call contact" in
kontact, the dialing request is transfered to kphone.

  • Hi!
Which KPhone version are we talking about? KPhone SI at least has both
capabilities for a while now. Just have a look into the documentation!

I have read the documentation. Minimizing to tray is possible, but not on startup.
I have to suspend it manually.
I have not found a commandline-option to make a call. And when I try some option,
with a running kpsi, it starts twice.
    I use the SVN-version.

  • I agree, suspending on startup is not yet possible, I'll see if I find the time to have a look on it.

The dialing from other programs thing
Starting KPhone multiple times is a very bad idea, I'm sure you'll agree! Please have a look at
    document/usermanual11.html
There you'll find the description of KPhone's kpsidial application. It allows to setup calls on a running KPhone from "outside".
I agree, dcop could be another way to handle this, but I won't have the time do implement it.
