Firefox supports XML/XSLT/CSS rendering; importantly rendering from CSS allows you to define the display style. Instead of hard-coding the editor to the particular tag (I'm assuming that is how this is down), could it instead be coded to the display-style in the CSS? If that was done, this would be an wysiwyg (non-validating) XML editor.

Agreed. I would like to be able to use Komposer to edit my sitemap.xml file so I do everything in one place.

I agree that XML support would be a huge benefit. Also, content folding would be a nice feature.

  • Since XML is necessary for RSS feeds, yes it would be nice to support XML, and .xml, .rss file extensions. At this point in time I can edit my entire site in Kompozer, except the .xml file for the RSS feed info.
