Can anyone please point me to some instructions for installing in Linux. Can't see a README file or a way to ./configure - make, etc.
The BeanCat Works
Don't bother. I am using the Mint version (6) of Ubuntu and Kompozer just crashes when you use the mouse in certain situations. I've read that it's both a bug in Kompozer or a bug in Ubuntu, so I don't know.
Kompozer is terrific on Windows XP and it has a great interface. It's a shame that I can't get it to work on my Linux system at home. Maybe Kompozer will fix this?? Hope so. For now, I am designing my pages uses Windows grrrrrrrrrrrrr........ Hope they fix the Ubuntu version.

KompoZer 0.7.10 does *NOT* work on recent Linux distros, please use KompoZer 0.8 instead: http://kazhack.org/?tag/editor
To install KompoZer 0.8:
* remove your current KompoZer 0.7.x profile, if any (~/.kompozer)
* download the latest KompoZer 0.8 Linux archive
* unzip it somewhere (e.g. in ~/Applications)
* launch the "kompozer" script (~/Applications/kompozer/kompozer) to start KompoZer 0.8
