This is with 0.8b2 zip, a fresh profile, and all default settings; Vista SP2 32-bit. What seems to be happening is that whenever I consecutively type in one or more paragraphs,
is always added at the end of the most recently created paragraph (as

). In some cases,
also gets added immediately before a
when hitting Enter to make a new paragraph.

Steps to reproduce (using a new file):

1. Select Split view. Source is shown as:

2. On Format Toolbar 1, use the pulldown menu to select Paragraph. Source now:

3. Type "1" and hit Enter, type "2" and hit Enter, type "3" and hit Enter to make three new paragraphs. Source now:

1

2

3

4. Use the arrow keys to move the cursor up to the end of the 2nd paragraph.

5. Hit Enter and type "2.1", hit Enter and type "2.2". Source now:

1

2

2.1

2.2

3

6. Use the arrow keys to move the cursor up to the end of the 1st paragraph.

7. Hit Enter and type "1.1", hit Enter and type "1.2", hit Enter and type "1.3". Source now:

1

1.1

1.2

1.3

2

2.1

2.2

3

8. Use the arrow keys to move the cursor to the end of paragraph 2.2.

9. Hit Enter and type "2.2.1", hit Enter and type "2.2.2". Source now:

1

1.1

1.2

1.3

2

2.1

2.2

2.2.1

2.2.2

3

After step 9, notice that in addition to the
added in paragraph 2.2.2, another
was also added between paragraphs 2.1 and 2.2.

Discussion

 • Thats's a known bug of the Mozilla platform, I can't do much about it. Just use the markup cleaner.
