#596 Request for Update Page (with or without pictures) feature

I think that a button that allow the update of a specific page at kiwix, with two objectives in mind:

1- Get the latest version of the page offline.
2- Be able to download the pictures of a page and store them offline.

Using this feature can allow users to create their own version of the Wikipedia Offline

I would also concur, this would be most wonderful feature to have particularly the ability to download pictures.

I think too it would be a real nice addition. being able to update individual pages and also make offline edition of them.
Those thing could be stored in a separate location/database as it is probably difficult to edit full initial zim archive.

Yes, this would be cool, but this is really not so easy to implement cleanly.

We will at least need to:
implement a clean solution on Wikipedia side to generate ZIM files.
have an api on Wikipedia side to get offline content (ZIM files)
Implement a diff/patch solution for ZIM files (www.openzim.org)
Have a way to specify in the ZIM format, a way to update an article
* Add this feature in Kiwix

So this is not going to be working before at least one or two years.
