Hi there, I noticed a (to me strange) change in the behaviour of the structure view from kile 1.6 to 1.7. I have a masterdocument (also declared as masterdocument in the kileproject file) containing a couple of included "(sub)files". Whenever I have the masterdocument active in the editor I get to see the structure view of the whole document. Whenever I switch to one of the included (sub)files the structure view is restricted to that (sub)file. In Kile 1.6 the structure view of the whole document structure remained visible. My question is now: Is there a way to have the the structure view showing the whole document structure instead of switching to the structure of a single file whenever I start editing that single file in the editor? Thanx for any help, Sebastian |

What you see here is the structure of the master document, you don't see th= e=20 chapters and section that are inside included documents. > Whenever I switch to one of the included (sub)files the structure view is > restricted to that (sub)file. Yes, this is how it should be. > In Kile 1.6 the structure view of the whole document structure remained > visible. Then you found a bug in 1.6! > My question is now: Is there a way to have the the structure view showing > the whole document structure instead of switching to the structure of a > single file whenever I start editing that single file in the editor? This is a common wish, but not so easy to implement. Right now I'm finishin= g=20 my PhD thesis (using Kile of course!), perhaps after that I have some time.= =20 If somebody else wants to have a try: there is a $30 bonus waiting for you!= =20 This bonus is paid from money donated to Kile. best, Jeroen =2D-=20 Kile - a LaTeX Environment for KDE http://kile.sourceforge.net |
