Hi there, I propose to release a new kile branch version. It includes several important fixes with the autocompletion being the most hated one. If the changes are too interuptive we can also release 2.0.3rc1 before, but I don't think this is necessary. The Changelog is at http://websvn.kde.org/*checkout*/branches/extragear/kde3/office/kile/ChangeLog For a release kileFullVersion in kileversion.h has to be changed to 2.0.3. What do you think? bye, Thomas |

Yes, that sounds good to me. I don't think that a 2.0.3rc1 version will be necessary. After that I think that we should focus our efforts on the KDE4 version, especially as the upcoming KDE 4.2 version seems to be quite ready for the end user. Michel |

Yes definitely. One thing which we should dicuss before is if the KDE4 version has to be feature complete in comparison with the current KDE3 version ?! The codecompletion comes here to my mind, which must be rewritten also because the KTextEditor interfaces have changed. So maybe it would be worth to release kile with a subset of features to keep the waiting time for the users short and the testing time high. Thomas |

It looks like we could provide some basic level of code completion with the current code. > So maybe it would be worth to release kile with a subset of features to > keep the waiting time for the users short and the testing time high. Yes, that sounds like a good idea if we don't manage to get everything ready in time. Michel |
