Hi list, this question has a small part which is a general Kile question and one part which is distribution specific. I installed Kile 1.6 compiling the source which surprising went perfectly. When I start it (here is my general Kile question--I get the following warnings, but it seems to run fine, can I safely ignore?
kdecore (KAccel): WARNING: KKeySequen ce::init( seq ): key is null.
kdecore (KAccel): WARNING: KKeySequence::init( seq ): key[ 0] is null.
kdecore (KAction): WARNING: KActionCollection::KActionColl ection( QObject *parent, const char *name, KInstance *inst ance )
now the Suse part. For those Suse users out there should I run Suseconfig. I've only installed software up to now (I know, I'm lame) using rpms and the Yast seems to run Suseconfig afterwards. Do I need to do this?

In the case of Kile, no you don't have to run SuSEconfig.
Mostly, SuSEconfig is useful when you have some very specific changes,=20
like a server upgrade, or you install an application that needs special=20
permissions. Kile isn't in either case.
If you're not sure, just run it, it will not hurt. ;-)

In my migration from RedHat, I'm considering moving to FreeBSD.
Has Kile been installed on this platform? Any issues in doing so?

As KDE runs on FreeBSD very well, it _should_ work. If there are any prob=
let me know usually they are easy to fix. I'm fairly sure I've had messag=
from people running Kile on FreeBSD.
