With kiax 0.8.4, I can successfully register at
VoIPBuster, but outgoing calls remain at the ringtone
and never connect. Note that calls using the original
VoIPBuster Windows client do go through. Included the
log file.

Actually, I followed the instructions at

    http://david.dw-perspective.org.uk/VoipBuster-Linux-MacOS-Solaris-FreeBSD.htmlAdditional

    when configuring my kiax setup.

Additional experiments determined that kiax is indeed not at
fault. The behavior I observed seems to be due to the
VoipBuster service. Further tests (at different times) resulted in
my kiax-initiated calls going through almost immediately, as well
as in long waits (from 1min upwards) in kiax before receiving a
    ring tone.

At all of these times, calls placed through the VoipBuster
windows client went through to ringing almost instantaneously.

So kiax seems to be working fine, but is possibly lacking a
secret handshake that the Windows client appears to use to
route calls with a higher priority.

The origional VoIPBuster client looks like a SIP client
though they also provide (unsupported) IAX.

I've followed the instructions too but registration allways
fails for me and outgoing calls produce trafic but no results.

Come to think of it... could it be that VoIPBuster uses an
authorisation encryption that is bugged in kiax? md5 seems
to work fine but the others? could it be that VoIPBuster is
not accepting md5 encryption but one of the others?
