When creating a Self Organizing map, there is an option for selecting the number of clustering nodes. This way, if I select 8, I get a map with 8 clusters. However, I would like to obtain a map without a predetermined number of clusters. I would like the self organizing map to suggest me the clusters, as it happens with hierarchical cluster analysis. Is that possible?
Thanks a lot!

Hi, thank you for your post!
Well, we can un-check the "Clustering nodes" option.
And U-Matrix would give us some hints on cluster structures. Pink color means there is a big difference in vectors of neighboring nodes. So if you see a pink line in the U-Matrix, that can be a line dividing clusters.
That's a great hint, thanks a lot!
