a] Could "1 second delay" in database settings and database creation be changed to something more obvious? A friend of mine just created a database with the default 6'000 rounds because he thought "1 second delay" describes the figure of 6'000. I propose something like "change to a reasonably secure number" and leave the time information just in the tooltip.

b] Could the default number be changed to something better, at least 100'000, or maybe the computed number for 1 second delay?

a] The description in KeePass Help accurately describes the process.
    http://keepass.info/help/base/security.html#secdictprotect
The description in KeePass itself is less descriptive but doesn't imply 1 second = 6000. Besides, you can always try the button and see if it's OK for you.

b] The default is set for slower portable devices.

    b] OK.

a] Not all people will try clicking it, especially with the current look. Currently, it doesn't look that much like a clickable thing. I know it's blue and underlined, but it lacks a verb and capitalization. It could also use a hover effect. Links throughout Windows 7/8 UI may be a good inspiration. Another option would be to convert the link to a regular button.

I think an even better option would be to have KeePass prompt you to run the test when you create a new database.
